The Sea Hag is almost ready to go, and probably could have been pushed hard to open on February 7, 2005, and that just didn't work. The reason we wanted to open on that date, was it is Kenya's 55th Birthday, and it was going to be 55 Night at the Sea Hag, and as much of a party as possible. It would have just pushed too much, with too many items in the kitchen not arriving yet, along with some of the chairs and the table coverings. Another fact, is that Kenya wants to open at the same time some of his nearby friends re-open, and make it a great evening on the Soi. Zen Restaurant, Lay Lair Tong, the Paulaner German Restauarant, the restaurant next door near Bel Air Mansion, all are coming along and will be able to operate normally, very soon. So, that is how things are right now, Patong Beach is looking just fine, and other than the Beach Road area, it is open for business. A major comment is that the Beach never, ever, looked better, and more and more people are arriving here every day. Patong, is back! . |

| This is the beach near the front of the soi at the Sea Hag. It is about 5:00 PM, the 3:30 shift from the hotels and restaurants is off work, and playing football on the beach. in the distance on the right, you can see the white lifeguard tower at Patong Bungalows. The volleyball games are going full out, there, at this same time. | This is a big deal, with the locals going on with life, and really putting Patong back together. This is an emotional thing, and everyone is part of the resilience of Patong. Kenya was sitting on the beach chair, and came back to direct the photo. This is the real deal, welcome back to Patong. |
